Soccer players from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties will take the field for the second annual Cesar Chavez Soccer Cup at Allan Hancock College on April 5.
The tournament features 45 adult soccer clubs, with play beginning at 8 a.m. The morning games will be followed by a formal opening ceremony at noon.
Admission is free, and so is the entertainment and parking. Vendors from local restaurants will be on hand to serve food.
Money raised by the tournament will go to Hancock student scholarships for economically and educationally disadvantaged students.
