The Santa Maria Valley YMCA is now registering for its Youth Arena Soccer program and progressive swim lessons.

 The YMCA is host to the only arena soccer league on the Central Coast and is designed for children ages 3 to 12. The registration deadline is Sept. 14. Fees are $65 for YMCA members and $80 for non-member participants.

The YMCA is also offering progressive swim lessons for children 3 years old and older. The classes teach water awareness and introductory skills for beginner and intermediate swimmers.

 Evening swim lessons are offered from Sept. 14 to 25, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Classes take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
