Artists are invited to gather at an informal get-together sharing conversation about the techniques they use and how they express artistic vision in Artist Salon No. 12 with host Suzi Trubitz, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at 3251 Short Road in Santa Ynez.

These gatherings of the local art community are proving to be opportunities for connection as well as sources for support and information.

Trubitz, the host and coordinator for this month’s Salon, is a Santa Ynez Valley sculptor who will share her studio and work. Working primarily with large sheets of metal, Trubitz finds that her work is inspired by nature and ā€œevolves through a three-stage process of idea, trial, and production,ā€ she said.

Artists are encouraged to bring themselves, along with a bottle of wine or their favorite
beverage or something to munch on. These monthly salons are sponsored by the Artists Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley as part of its ongoing mission to support and encourage local artists.
