The Chumash Casino Resort presents Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, live in concert, on Friday, Aug. 19, at 8 p.m. The pop group is best known for “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Candy Girl,” and other hits.
Considered one of the best-selling bands of all time, The Four Seasons have sold about 100 million records worldwide, according to press materials from the Chumash Casino Resort. As the frontman for the group, Valli became widely known for his strong falsetto voice. Valli was influenced by jazz, doo-wop, and soul music from an early age. Some of his favorite acts during his youth were The Drifters, Rose Murphy, and Frank Sinatra.
During the 1960s, The Four Seasons achieved commercial success with several singles, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Walk Like a Man.” Other hits from the group include “Dawn (Go Away),” “Rag Doll,” “Working My Way Back to You,” and “Opus 17 (Don’t Worry About Me).” In 1990, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
