The Frame Gallery in Orcutt is partnering with Merrill Gardens and the Gold Coast Senior Options to sponsor An Evening with Larry Kappen on Aug. 31. The event will include a talk by Kappen about his painting style, a showcase of his work, and a raffle of a new original painting created for the Alzheimer’s Walk at Waller Park.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association as well. The new painting (pictured) depicts a walking trail at Waller Park in homage to the upcoming walk event. Other scenes to be featured at the Frame Gallery from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 31 include Morro Rock, the Arroyo Grande bridge, and the La Purisima Mission.
A $20 ticket includes a raffle ticket and attendance at the VIP reception event at the Frame Gallery, 1157 E. Clark Ave., suite J, Santa Maria. More information is available at 287-9402.
