The Vapor Trail Vettes are holding a low-speed autocross event at the Allan Hancock College campus in Lompoc on June 11. All makes and models of cars are welcome. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Registration costs $40 to $75 depending on time of registration and membership in the National Council of Corvette Clubs. Registration and tech inspections will run from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by a mandatory drivers’ meeting. The first car starts out at 9:45 a.m. All registered cars must be at the gate no later than 9 a.m.

The Vapor Trail Vettes will be donating a $500 scholarship to a student of the Hancock College Automotive Technology program. Hancock’s Lompoc campus is at 1 Hancock Drive.
