Steven Boothe will demonstrate his process of creating mixed media photo collages at the free Feb. 10 meeting of the Los Padres Artist Guild at 6 p.m. at the Luis Oasis Senior Center, 204 Soares Ave., in Orcutt. Boothe uses simple digital and handmade filters on his camera phone to emphasize color and form. He combines found objects and photographs in his art form.
Attendees will be able to experiment and create their own images and alternative mounting presentations with materials and prints provided.
His latest exhibit of more than 150 photographs of scenes around San Luis Obispo, “Found in Passing,” will be on display at the Kennedy Library in San Luis Obispo through Feb. 24.
