Los Olivos is holding its popular Day in the Country Festival on Oct. 18, with special events happening throughout the small community. The day begins with early morning fun runs and includes a country-themed parade, zip line and climbing wall, hundreds of craft and food booths, live music, and family activities.

The festival began in 1978 with the mission of providing people a glimpse into the country way of life from years ago. The Los Olivos Business Organization manages the event, which is free to all kids and adults. More information is available at losolivosca.com.
