The nonprofit Everybody Can DANCE of Santa Maria is expanding its program to offer dozens of new classes in hip hop, jazz, modern, contemporary, ballet, Dancer’s Bodyshop, yoga, and Pilates, as well asĀ classical ballet for ages 2 to adult.

New instructor Jonathon Calderwood has a bachelor’s degree from U.C. Irvine and will teach yoga, Pilates, Dancer’s Bodyshop, modern dance, and Momentum for Men, a class designed to develop athletic prowess and movement control as a preparation for any sport. Calderwood was a Pilates instructor at Golden West College in Huntington Beach and also worked for the Triad Yoga and Pilates Studio in Irvine.

Diane Zink, artistic director, and Stephanie Deck, assistant director, will continue to teach the advanced Vagonova ballet classes and facilitate the Santa Maria Civic Ballet performances, including the upcoming production of The Nutcracker on Thanksgiving weekend.Ā Zink will also offer a dance team program.Ā For more information on Everybody Can DANCE and the Santa Maria Civic Ballet, call 937-6753 or visit everybodycandance.webs.com.
