There’s always something peculiar inside Lompoc’s art showroom.

Anyone who needs convincing may browse the Cypress Gallery through Nov. 29 while The Island of Misfit Art is on display. Gallerygoers will find locally crafted holiday art and gifts.

“Whether you’re hunting for a one-of-a-kind gift, looking to add something new to your own collection, or simply want to spend a little time enjoying art, there’s a reason to wander in,” according to press materials. “From unique gifts to pieces you’ll want to keep for yourself, the show offers a chance to explore local art, discover something unexpected, and support the artists who bring creativity to our community.”

Members of the public are invited to attend a reception for the show on Nov. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The artist-run gallery was founded by the Lompoc Valley Art Association in 1994. It’s open Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 119 E. Cypress Ave. in Lompoc.

Visit on the first Thursday of the month for the Lompoc Art Walk. The gallery remains open late to host make-and-take crafts from 5 to 7 p.m. Join the next scheduled event on Nov. 5.
