The Ian M. Hassett Foundation is gearing up for its second annual fundraiser event Form Over Function on Oct. 11 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Orcutt. The Hassett Foundation is a local nonprofit organization that was formed in memory of Ian Hassett, who passed away after battling Non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2012. Hassett was an avid and skilled artist, and the foundation aims to find innovative ways to encourage emerging artists in the community.

Form Over Function is a celebration of many things artistic. Taking place at Trattoria Uliveto, owner and chef Alfonso Curti will be concocting delicious appetizers paired with local wines for attendees to enjoy while they peruse silent auction items, view the works of local artists, and listen to live music. Guitar masters Tony Harmon and Nathan Towne will be performing live music of many styles.

The first 25 people to purchase tickets for Form Over Function will also receive an 8-by-10-inch giclee reproduction of Hassettās piece āBreath,ā along with a certificate of authenticity. Tickets are $50. More information is available at ianmhassett.com or info@ianmhassett.com.
