The Discovery Museum in Santa Maria is seeking artists for Nat Fast Free Children’s Art Day on Jan. 27.
The museum is looking for creative, patient people to teach children hands-on art projects throughout the day. A materials and time stipend of $100 is offered to participating artists. The day is split into two shifts from noon to 2 p.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. Artists are also welcome to stay the entire day if they wish.
Nat Fast Day is a free community event that honors the art and the legacy of the late local artist, who was a celebrated teacher credited with helping develop the local arts community in Santa Maria.
