The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum is celebrating local rancher and museum donor R.H. Tesene with a barbecue cuisine and ranching event on Aug. 21. The day will include food, presentations, and an exhibit about local barbecue and ranching.
The exhibit is the Rancho Pasquini barn and bunkhouse, which includes the R.H. Tesene BBQ Hall of Fame displaying family brands, the history of Santa Maria-style barbecue, and ranching artifacts that include a tractor.
