The DANA Cultural Center received a $100,000 challenge grant from the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation, the sum of which has been mostly matched thanks to a recent $25,000 grant donation from the Edwin and Jeanne Woods Family Foundation. The challenge grant and matching funds will support the organization’s Phase II Historic Park Development Project, which includes the construction of an interpretive barn, the restoration and relocation of the historic Fry family house, the restoration of a collapsed adobe horno, and extended public trails.

ā€œWe are exceedingly grateful for the generous support from the Edwin and Jeanne Woods Family Foundation,ā€ said DANA Executive Director Marina Washburn in a statement released Dec. 16. ā€œWe are so close to achieving the funding we need to match the grant—only $10,000!ā€

The public is invited to help match the grant, marking a historic milestone for the nonprofit. More information is available at danaadobe.org.
