Take a retreat, relax, eat, drink wine, and create with collage/assemblage guru Karen Browdy and the C Gallery Feb. 24, 25, and 26.
Participants will be nestled into a quiet, secluded, 25-acre vineyard estate surrounded by redwood, oak, and cypress trees. After a Friday evening dinner and estate wine tasting, participants will enjoy a Saturday collage making session at the C Gallery.
On Sunday, an informal showing and commentary of the completed collages will take place at an outdoor gourmet breakfast prepared by Rancho Alamo’s own culinary artist Natalie Werk.
Browdy is a mixed media artist represented by John Nichols Gallery at the Santa Paula Museum of Art and has been a member of the art faculty at Santa Barbara City College’s continuing education division.
The retreat is $425 including most materials, two nights’ lodging, all meals except Saturday night dinner, wine tasting, and more than 10 hours of instruction. For more information, call 344-4807 or e-mail connie@thecgallery.com.
