It’s Santa Maria High School senior Clark Kringel’s third year on the boys’ varsity basketball team, and as a captain, he’s helped lead the team to a second place ranking so far this season.
“He’s an extremely hard worker,” coach David Yamate said, “on the court and in the classroom as well.”
Kringle, a shooting guard who proudly wears the No. 20 jersey, frequently leads the team in rebounds and constantly hustles, Yamate said, all while taking college-ready courses and scoring an extremely high grade point average in the classroom.
“He’s one of those extreme hustle guys,” Yamate said.
