Circle V Ranch Camp & Retreat Center staff members and alumni participated in the inaugural Hike4Kids event May 20 to raise funds to send kids to the camp this summer. The fundraiser has collected almost $13,000 so far and donations are still welcome.

The Hike4Kids participants hiked 2, 4, or 8 miles along the Tequepis Trail in the Los Padres National Forest. The group, made up of more than 55 participants, totaled 200 miles.

ā€œOn behalf of everyone here at Circle V, we are beyond grateful for the efforts of so many who came together and worked so hard to raise funds at Hike4Kids,ā€ Camp Director Ray Lopez said in a release from Circle V. ā€œFunds raised at Hike4Kids help assure that no child is turned away. What a blessing to be able to help make this first-ever alumni friendraiser a reality.ā€
