Circle V Ranch Camp & Retreat Center staff members and alumni participated in the inaugural Hike4Kids event May 20 to raise funds to send kids to the camp this summer. The fundraiser has collected almost $13,000 so far and donations are still welcome.
The Hike4Kids participants hiked 2, 4, or 8 miles along the Tequepis Trail in the Los Padres National Forest. The group, made up of more than 55 participants, totaled 200 miles.
āOn behalf of everyone here at Circle V, we are beyond grateful for the efforts of so many who came together and worked so hard to raise funds at Hike4Kids,ā Camp Director Ray Lopez said in a release from Circle V. āFunds raised at Hike4Kids help assure that no child is turned away. What a blessing to be able to help make this first-ever alumni friendraiser a reality.ā
