On Saturday, Feb. 11, Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka will perform at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez. Tickets to the concert, which will start at 8 p.m., range between $79 and $139.
In 1956, Anka was 15 years old when he released his first single, “Blau Wile Deveest Fontaine,” according to press materials. A year later, he released “Diana,” which became one of the best-selling singles recorded by a Canadian artist.
Other hits by the pop artist include “It’s Time to Cry,” “(All of a Sudden) My Heart Sings,” “Lonely Boy,” and “Put Your Head on my Shoulder.” Anka has also written for other prolific singers throughout his career, including “My Way” for Frank Sinatra and “She’s a Lady” for Tom Jones.
