More than $8,000 in prizes will be up for grabs at the annual Santa Maria Valley Men’s Amateur Golf championship, to be held at Rancho Maria Golf Course in Santa Maria on July 30 and 31.
The 36-hole, stroke-play tournament starts at 8 a.m. on July 30; Day 2 begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The entry fee is $175 before July 21, and $200 thereafter. The fee includes green fees, carts, range balls, tee prizes, closest to the hole contests, barbecue sandwiches, and beverages.
Players must be 18 or older and have a valid card or play at scratch. Entries close on July 26.
