Grab your bat and glove and head out to the California Stars Coast Girls Fast Pitch Softball Association tryouts—if you’re a girl interested in playing softball.
Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season will be held Aug. 16 at the Colony Softball Fields, 5599 Traffic Way in Atascadero. Girls 14 and younger, and 16 and younger, start at 10 a.m.; girls 12 and younger start at noon.
The second tryouts will be held Aug. 24 at the Hagerman Sports Complex, with all age groups starting at noon.
California Stars Coast is a non-parent coach organization dedicated to increasing athletes’ skills and showcasing their talents. The group has been represented at the USA/ASA National tournaments, and qualified to participate each year in Triple Crown, USSSA, and AFA championship events.
