The Cachuma Lake Nature Center is offering a series of fireside programs during the month of August on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. in the Cachuma Lake Fireside Amphitheater. The events include recreational and educational material and entertainment.

A nature talk called Cachuma Lake Water: Would You Drink This? with naturalist Liz Gaspar happens on Aug. 1 and 23. Three star parties with a Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit presentation and stargazing are scheduled for Aug. 2, 16, and 30. Two movie night events are Aug. 8 and 22. A campfire sing-along with Nammie Jammie and the Captian is Aug. 9. A nature talk called The Nature of Intelligence with Rosey Bishop is scheduled for Aug. 29.

The events are free with the $10 Cachuma Lake vehicle fee. More information is available at 688-4515 or sbparks.org.
