The C Gallery in Los Alamos is the area’s home for abstract art, and its upcoming featured exhibit puts abstract painter Dan Holland’s work in the spotlight. Holland is an Arroyo Grande resident who is a Diablo Canyon database manager during the day, and an abstract, gestural artist by night.

The exhibit will open on Sept. 17 with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. at the gallery. Holland’s paintings show with the sculpture of Albert McCurdy through Nov. 16. McCurdy’s newest abstract sculptures show in the center of the gallery, while Holland’s colorful paintings line the walls there.

The C Gallery is located at 466 Bell St., Los Alamos. More information is available at thecgallery.com or 344-3807.
