Elizabeth Fields, former Los Alamos resident and author of Best Friends Forever, will kick off her California book tour with a book signing event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bookworm, 230 E. Betteravia Road, suite K, on Feb. 11. Then she’ll be at the Bookstore, 1137 North H St., in Lompoc for a pre-signing on Feb. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Feb. 17, she’ll be at Mother Hubbard’s Restaurant in Buellton, 373 Ave. of the Flags, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Best Friends Forever is a fictional tale of high school love, drama, and deceit. The story unfolds as Lynn and her friends graduate high school. With plans to marry her boyfriend, Lynn learns that her now-fiancĆ© and her best friend have betrayed her. As she tries to move on, terror ensues as her ex-fiancĆ© stalks her and she’s eventually faced with a horrible truth that could prove fatal.
