St. Joseph High School’s Aly Beebe has been selected to participate in the 2010 U-17 National Team Trials, held June 8 to 11 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Beebe will vie for a spot on the 12-member 2010 FIBA U-17 World Championship Team and the four-member 2010 Youth Olympic Games Team.
The 6-foot-4 sophomore center recently lead the Knights girls’ basketball team to a 28-5 record and the CIF Southern Section 4A Championship.
Pioneer Valley goes under water
Summer is just around the corner, and the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is offering a slew of aquatics programs at Pioneer Valley High School starting in June.
Adult lap swims, recreation swims, and swim lessons begin June 19, and junior lifeguard classes start on June 28.
