The Bedford Winery is presenting the eighth annual “Mushrooms Gone Wild!” mushroom festival on Jan. 25 in Los Alamos at the wine tasting room. The event will feature wine tasting and an expansive selection of fungi.

Varieties will include, but won’t be limited to, chanterelles, hedgehogs, shitake, porcini, oyster, and black trumpet. Guests will be able to graze from a large selection of appetizers that venerate and elevate the ’shroom.

There will also be exhibits of edible and inedible mushrooms with experts on hand to offer mycological insight. Mushroom-related books and field guides will also be for sale.

The even begins at 2 p.m. at the Bedford Winery tasting room and courtyard, 448 Bell St., Los Alamos. Cost is $35. Advance reservations required.

More information or reservations can be made at 344-2107 or tastingroom@bedfordwinery.com.
