Dance Team and Santa Maria Civic Ballet are looking for dancers. Auditions for Dance Team will be held by Everybody Can Dance, 800 S. Broadway, on Oct. 8 from noon to 2 p.m. Youths ages 6 and older are eligible to participate. No previous training is necessary. Team members will participate in performances, workshops, and competitions in all dance styles. Team class will be held Fridays from 6 to 7 p.m. and will be conducted by Diane Zink.
Also on Oct. 8, auditions will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. for the Santa Maria Civic Ballet. These auditions are for advanced dancers: Level III and up. Company members have additional opportunities to study and rehearse, work on the highest-level parts for performances, practice partnering, and have the chance to perform with professional dancers.
