The Santa Barbara Office of Arts and Culture will host the North County Arts Symposium on Nov. 3.

The event is sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission and the city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department. Presenters include Randy Cohen, vice president of Americans for the Arts, who will share compelling information about arts and economy, and Sara Reisman, artistic director of the Rubin Foundation and former director of the NYC Department for Cultural Affairs Percent-for-the-Art Program.

The symposium takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Minami Community Center at 500 W. Enos Drive, Santa Maria. Tickets are $5. Call 963-8198 to purchase tickets.
