MotionZ hosts Haunted Circus

Get your spook on at the MotionZ Haunted Circus. Tours will be offered Oct. 29 through 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event promises to be a truly frightful one, so it’s not suitable for small children or the faint of heart. However, all bearded ladies, acrobats, and cannibals— as well as the general public—are invited.

So juggle your schedule, pull up your stakes, and caravan over to MotionZ. For trick-or-treaters, stores in the mall will hand out candy on Halloween night.

For Friday, All Nite Laser Tag players, hours will vary on Halloween night. Play will be from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Stop by MotionZ in Town Center East, on the second level near the corner of Cook and McClelland. For more information, call 922-6922 or visit www.MotionZ.net.

Students learn guitar at Fesler Junior High

Teachers at Fesler Junior High School have taken music lessons beyond the traditional band instruments taught in school and formed a guitar club on campus. Mike Schaefer and Kelly Porter have dedicated their time to teach students to play. The group of nearly a dozen students meets on Fridays at lunch to work on basic chords and rhythms. The teachers are loaning a few of the students guitars, but several students also bring guitars from home.

The group hopes to learn a song to play together in the school’s annual talent show.

ā€œWe try to play acoustic, but ā€˜bring what you have’ is our motto,ā€ Porter said.

He noted that the students are learning quickly and having a lot of fun.
