The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County will host its seventh annual Lompoc Empty Bowls fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Building at 100 E. Locust Ave. in Lompoc.

The annual event is a special Foodbank-sponsored gathering where, for a donation of $20, attendees choose a handcrafted ceramic bowl, enjoy a simple meal of gourmet soup and bread, and take home the bowl as a reminder that the meal’s purpose is to help feed hungry people wholesome and hearty food in the community.

The soup will be served to attendees by leaders of the agencies who also distribute food through their programs. Money raised from this event provides services to Lompoc-area families.

Tickets are available at Supervisor Joni Gray’s office at the Veterans’ Memorial building, Sue’s Place on the corner of H and Ocean, the Chamber of Commerce, CoastHills Federal Credit Union’s Vandenberg Village branch, from committee members, or by calling 937-3422, Ext. 104.

For more information, call Judi Monte at 937-3422, Ext. 106.
