The Transitions-Mental Health Association (TMHA) is preparing for the 2015 Art of Recovery exhibition, a collection of media created by locals recovering from substance abuse or mental illness. The exhibit will show in Santa Maria during May in support of Mental Health Awareness Month, but submissions can be made through April 30 at 5 p.m.

Acceptable media include jewelry, poems, music, stone, metal, clay textiles, sketches, and paintings. The exhibit will be free and open to the public May 13 through 16 and May 20 through 23 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Recovery Learning Center at Rancho Hermosa, 235 E. Inger Drive, Santa Maria. A reception event is May 16 from 4 to 7 p.m.
