Art From Scrap has announced the return of its popular assemblage art event, “What Will They Create?”, and is calling for artists to submit their assemblage art under the theme of “Mischief!”

The show is open to artists ages 18 and older. Each piece must include at least one abandoned or discarded item, and artwork should be no larger than 24 inches by 28 inches by 8 inches. Larger works must be discussed and approved by curators.

Entry forms can be collected at Art From Scrap through March 9. Cost is $15 to enter, and includes one piece of discarded art to be used in the work, if desired by the artist.

Artwork must be completed by March 3 and delivered to the Art From Scrap Gallery between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 302 E. Cota St. in Santa Barbara. The show will be displayed from March 11 to April 5.

The works will be sold by silent auction in benefit of the gallery’s art programs at the closing-night party on April 5 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the gallery. Festivities will include music, a silent auction, and refreshments.
