Art lovers and flower lovers have a double treat in store for them during “The Art of the Iris” art and flower show April 2 through 29, sponsored by the Lompoc Valley Iris Society.
The art event is an all-media presentation of iris-themed drawings, paintings, photographs, needlework, and ceramics, representing the work of 20 Central Coast artists. See the works in the Grossman Gallery of the Lompoc Public Library, 501 E. North Ave., Lompoc. Admission is free.
In the same location, the Lompoc Valley Iris Society will present its annual Iris Flower Show, open to the public on April 24 and 25 from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free and door prizes of growing iris plants will be given every half hour.
The Lompoc Iris Society is affiliated with Region 15 of the American Iris Society.
