Cuesta College officials announced last week they are seeking runners to participate in their second annual 5K run on May 10 at the campus in San Luis Obispo.

ā€œThis fun event is a fundraiser for our recreation and kinesiology departments, and is a community celebration of health and fitness for all ages,ā€ said Jani Johnson, Cuesta College’s division chair of kinesiology, health sciences, and athletics, in a recent press release.

The 5K is open to runners ages 10 and older, and is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Top male and female runners will receive a prize, and all participants will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. The Cougar Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Pre-registration fees for the general public are $30 and $25 for students. On-site registration is $40 for all and includes a water bottle. Day-of-race registration will be available starting at 7 a.m.
