Analise Riezebos, a senior at Saint Joseph High School, went once more unto the breach and came out an MVP at the 20th annual Kiwanis Central Coast All-Star Basketball Spectacular. She racked up a total of 21 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.

This wasn’t the first win for Riezebos, nor the first time she’s been on the winning teams. The Saint Joseph’s girls’ varsity team has been winning CIF championships seemingly nonstop.

Riezebos started playing basketball when she was in third grade because, like most kids, she thought ā€œit was fun.ā€ Once she got to sixth grade, however, she got
serious with the sport and began to play competitively. It’s been keeping her busy ever since.

ā€œI had a great run,ā€ Riezebos said about her time on the Saint Joseph basketball team. ā€œI’m happy with my accomplishments.ā€

Her coach, who has just finished his first season with the team, shared the same sentiment about her time on the team.

ā€œI’m very proud of her accomplishments,ā€ said Ed Torres. ā€œI think that she will do well at Chico State with her outstanding physical skill and her mental approach to the game of
basketball.ā€
