Santa Maria High School’s basketball stars past and present will be on hand for the school’s inaugural alumni basketball game at Wilson Gym on Nov. 20.
The event is a doubleheader with the junior varsity team playing at 6 p.m. against a team of Santa Maria High staffers, including Terry Butler, a former Allan Hancock College, New Mexico State, and professional player in Germany. At 7:30 p.m., the Saints’ varsity team will match up against an alumni team of former Santa Maria players from the past five decades. The alumni roster includes George Clark, who played on the 1966 CIF championship team, and Mike Gonzales, former Northern League MVP in 1999.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and children. The snack bar, featuring Marco Polo Pizza, will be open.
