Performances of a new folklórico production, hosted by Allan Hancock College’s dance program, will be held at the Ethel Pope Auditorium in Santa Maria on March 10, 11, and 12 at 7 p.m. each evening. The show will include both traditional and contemporary takes on folklórico dance styles from a variety of different regions in Mexico, according to Hancock College.
Dancers in the show include members of Hancock’s dance program, dance faculty, and Ernest Righetti High School’s ballet folklórico program. Tickets to the production are $15 each and can be purchased at the door or online through Eventbrite.
The Ethel Pope Auditorium is located at 901 S. Broadway, Santa Maria.
