The California Stars Coast Girls Fast Pitch Softball Association is holding tryouts on Dec. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Louis de Montfort’s softball field at 5075 Harp Road in Santa Maria.
Tryouts are for the 12-and-under and 14-and-under teams. All interested players who would like to compete against travel teams from all over the nation are encouraged to attend.
The association is a non-parent-coached organization dedicated to increasing an athlete’s skills and showcasing her talents.
According to a press release, the Cal Stars Coast has qualified and competed at USA/ASA national tournaments the past two years, and has qualified to compete each year in Triple Crown, USSSA, and AFA championship events.
