The Santa Maria Public Library is offering a free “Digital Literacy” training workshop for those interested in becoming better versed in computer technology on June 5.

Programs like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint will be discussed, as will the various documents and projects they can be used to create, and photos, video, and music that can be accessed and edited with computer help. The basics of the Internet—including e-mail, searching, and privacy—will also be addressed for people in need of digital guidance.

The program—sponsored by California Connects, Allan Hancock College, and MESA—has two sessions available: from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland, Santa Maria. More information is available at 925-0994.
