Coach Cheyenne Amaro said it’s a combination of Carrillo’s natural athletic ability and quick feet that have allowed her to lay so much of her competition out on the mat. Carrillo, a senior, always works to ensure that she and her other teammates are focused at practices, and Amaro said Carrillo is always willing to help the younger girls improve.Ā

Carrillo’s gone completely undefeated so far this year, and Amaro said the success is well deserved.Ā

ā€œShe has been one of the most caring and coachable kids,ā€ Amaro told the Sun, ā€œand works hard with her technique.ā€
