The city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is inviting teens ages 12 to 18 years old to participate in its Job Achievement Academy at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St., with instructors from the Workforce Investment Board.

The academy is a free, month-long program meeting every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. throughout the month of May. The program is designed to teach teens the necessary skills to land a job. Classes will include RƩsumƩ Building, Applying for a Job, Interview Procedures and Etiquette, and Proper Dress.
