Cuesta College officials announced last week they are seeking runners to participate in their second annual 5K run on May 10 at the campus in San Luis Obispo.
āThis fun event is a fundraiser for our recreation and kinesiology departments, and is a community celebration of health and fitness for all ages,ā said Jani Johnson, Cuesta Collegeās division chair of kinesiology, health sciences, and athletics, in a recent press release.
The 5K is open to runners ages 10 and older, and is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Top male and female runners will receive a prize, and all participants will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. The Cougar Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Pre-registration fees for the general public are $30 and $25 for students. On-site registration is $40 for all and includes a water bottle. Day-of-race registration will be available starting at 7 a.m.
