The Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos will be host to country/folk singer Dave Stamey at the Dana Adobe at 2:30 p.m. on July 30 at the Adobe, 671 S. Oakglen Ave., in Nipomo. Barbecue, beer, wine, and drinks will be on sale at the event. The Captain’s Store, along with snacks and dessert, will also be available during the event. Attendees should bring chairs in which to sit comfortably in a meadow on the property where the concert will be held. The concert costs $20.
Former cowboy Stamey is often referred to as the Charley Russel of Western Music. He’s won Entertainer of the Year and Male Performer of the Year three times, while also being voted Songwriter of the Year twice by the Western Music Association.
He’s also been honored with the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists, and in 2010 was named the Best Living Western Solo Musician by True West Magazine. The cowboy, mule packer, dude wrangler, and renowned Western entertainer is an accomplished songwriter who has had his “Vaquero Song” acknowledged as one of the greatest Western songs of all time by Western Horseman Magazine.
