• Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) was recently on the Central Coast to talk about “text4baby” (text4baby.org), a free mobile information service that offers health information to pregnant women and new moms, who can use the service until their baby is a year old. It also sends a toll free number to women using the service so they can access information about local resources. “Text4baby provides essential health information to pregnant women and new moms during a critical time of life. I am so pleased I can help spread the word about this valuable tool that will help ensure that information reaches the women who can benefit from it. Helping to educate new mothers is essential to ensuring that their babies are healthy and happy,” Capps said in a statement. “My hope is that women on the Central Coast will take advantage of this free resource to help them better care for their health and the health of their children.” |
