Schwarzenegger. What a disappointment. When I voted for Schwarzenegger, I believed we would have someone in the state capitol who would understand that, if you donāt have it, you donāt spend it. I knew he would be up against the liberals who want the government to provide all their wants, but I forgot that he was not only from the movie crowd, but married to a socialist.
There are two major reasons for high gas prices. One is world demand, and the other is the decline of the U.S. dollar. We have billions going out of our economy to oil suppliers every week because we donāt exploit our own sources. That will one day bring on a recession that will make the 1930s look like good times.
Schwarzenegger, like a typical environmentalist, doesnāt want to see oil rigs off our coast. Frankly, when you look out to sea, an oil rig is the only interesting thing you see. He obviously doesnāt understand simple economics. Itās interesting that ādo littleā Lois Capps agrees with him.
