It is unbelievable that any reputable newspaper would use one fourth of a page to publish the detestable, contemptuous, and abominable poem by Gale McNeeley, (Jan. 26, āA poem for Inauguration Dayā).
I believe the writing calls for the assassination of the 45th president of the United States. In other words, calling on someone to rise up and kill himāmurder him. I think this is a violation of free speech and needs to be investigated.
āHate trumped love,ā the poem says. Let me define love for you. Love is patient, kind, does not envy, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, does not think evil, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth. I believe McNeelyās poem is bankrupt in the area of love and is more correctly defined as a hate crime against the president of the United States of America.
And in referencing the Native Americans as environmentalists, I would suggest reading Thomas E. Woods Jr.ās book, 33 Questions About American History Youāre Not Supposed to Ask, chapter 3, which is well documented with 23 sources.
I say shame on you for printing anything that calls for murdering another human being. Letās move forward with what is just, right, and honorable. Letās separate ourselves from anyone who suggests the slaughter of an individual.Ā
