We have the best medicine in the world because the American free-enterprise capitalist system developed it. Let’s not ruin it with socialism.
Medicare is a good example of what not to do. It costs too much, seniors older than 75 like ourselves are forced to use it, we are forced to pay for it ourselves every month, and we are forced to accept whatever the government wants to give us. We cannot buy our own insurance—we must use Medicare and pay for it and a supplement if we have the extra funds.
No one has a right to medical insurance—it is a commodity like cars, food, houses, travel, etc. No one deserves insurance any more than any of these other things, if they cannot afford to buy it. If you can pay for it, you can have it.
Based on our experience with Medicare, which is out-and-out socialism, we do not need more of that!
The proposed medical “reform” will require hundreds of thousands more government bureaucrats to run it and billions more to pay for it, for no real improvements.
Let’s remember that it was the socialist Democrat Franklin Roosevelt who forced Social Security on us in 1935, and we have been forced to pay for it ever since. When Medicare was passed by another socialist Democrat named Lyndon Johnson in 1971, we were forced to pay for that also, and today we senior citizens have bigger and bigger Medicare payments taken out of our Social Security because Medicare cannot provide for its promised services. Now we have another socialist Democrat, the Obamanation, hell bent on giving us more of the same failed socialist programs.
We really do not need to reform our American medical system. What we need
is to get the socialist Democrats out of the process.
