Body of missing Pasadena boy found near Cachuma Lake

The body of a Los Angeles boy missing since April was found near Lake Cachuma on June 30.

According to a press release issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the body was discovered after a search “based on additional leads developed in the Andressian case.” The boy’s father, Aramazd Andressian Sr., was arrested June 23 and subsequently charged with the boy’s murder. No further information on the discovery was given by authorities.

The boy, 5, was last seen in the early morning hours of April 21 when he was in the custody of his father. The pair reportedly visited Disneyland before the boy’s disappearance. On April 22, Andressian was found in a park in Los Angeles County, passed out near his car, which was doused in gasoline, but the boy was nowhere to be found. Police arrested Andressian on charges of child endangerment at the time. Three days later, police conducted the first search at Lake Cachuma.

Andressian was arrested again in June 23 in Las Vegas, where he was reportedly preparing to leave the country. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation into the boy’s death.
