The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is offering a youth volleyball clinic that will introduce fundamental skills to younger boys and girls and prepare older athletes for the upcoming junior high school fall volleyball season. All aspects of the game will be addressed including serving, passing, setting, and hitting. The program is under the direction of Coach Heather Allen and guest coaches.

The clinic takes place at the Edwards Community Center, 809 Panther Drive, Monday through Thursday, July 11 to 14, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. for ages 7 to 10 and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 11 to 14. Participants are asked to register for the clinic no later than three days prior to the first class meeting. The fee is $28.50 for city residents and $35.50 for non-city residents, and includes a T-shirt. Registrations are accepted at the Recreation and Parks Department, 615 S. McClelland St.
