To celebrate American Humane Association’s national Adopt-A-Dog month, the Milt Guggia Family of Restaurants is partnering with the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society to offer special discount cards on food all October long.
For every dog adopted during the month, the Guggia Family will donate a $20 gift card, good at any of the 10 restaurant locations of A.J. Spurs, Anderson’s Pea Soup, The Jetty, Pepper Garcia’s, and Shaw’s Famous Steakhouse.
All animals adopted from the Humane Society are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and equipped with a certificate for a free health exam by a local veterinarian. Dog licenses are available to Santa Barbara County residents at the time of adoption. The adoption facility, located at 751 Black Road in Santa Maria, is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 6 p.m. Adoptable animals can be viewed in person or online at smvhs.org.
