Bryn really was raised by wolves—werewolves, that is!

Rescued by alpha wolf Callum and his pack after her parents were killed by a rabid werewolf, Bryn and her foster mother, Ali, are the only two humans in the pack.

When the rabid werewolf strikes again and creates a new young ā€œwere,ā€ Chase, Bryn finds herself strangely drawn to him. Once they meet, she begins to unravel information that sets in motion a chain of events leading to a stunning conclusion.

The story is well told and full of exciting twists and turns, as well as a little romance. The ending leaves possibilities for a sequel. Readers will devour this hair-raising tale.

ā€œWhat Kids are Readingā€ is a regular feature in the Sun, highlighting children’s books available for young readers in Santa Maria. This week’s recommendation was made by Cathy Allee, youth services librarian with Santa Maria Public Library.
